The Abel Tasman National Park, Kahurangi National Park - the second largest in New Zealand, and Nelson Lakes National Park are all close by. With pristine, lagoon like beaches, expansive lakes, a diverse range of tracks, paths, walkways and interpretive trails, camping spots, lodges and huts all awaiting your adventures.

Abel Tasman is our personal favourite. Take a water taxi out to one of the southern bays of the Abel Tasman track and walk back to the Cafe at the trail head - that's our recommendation for a great, easy day out. Or for the more adventurous, take a guided overnight sea kayak trip. More details here.
